Book Review: Endless Possibility by Emma Scott

Endless Possibility, a Memoir (City Lights 3.5)

I was teary eyed from the moment I saw the title and that it was also in braille. Throughout the whole story, I teared up but was bawling like a baby in the end. It had the sweetest ending and filled my heart with so much warmth from Charlotte and Noah’s story. I still want more! If there was a never ending supply of Noah to read, I would be one happy lady.  If I wasn’t teary eyed while reading this amazing novella then I was smiling as Charlotte read Noah’s unfinished memoir of him traveling alone, the challenges he faced and finding himself.

“Did you find what you were looking for?” she murmured. “Yeah, baby. I got myself back.”

I was writing. Writing these words. Speaking them into the machine where they vanished from me, but were written down too, so that others can read them. So Charlotte can finally read them, and know what she means to me. I could speak until I was hoarse and I’d never run out of ways to tell her how much I loved her, but right then, on the brink of an unknown tomorrow, I struggled to find the right words, to lock them in place for all time.

If you loved Rush then Endless Possibility is a must read. For me, this is the best novella I’ve read to date. Normally they are filled with sex and have very little story to them, but that’s not the case for this novella. Emma Scott did an outstanding job writing Noah and telling his perspective. As I read, I fell more in love with Noah, but I was also in awe of him and proud of his journey to want to be better for himself and Charlotte, learning to live and accept his blindness, and traveling across Europe blind so that he could listen Charlotte play each and everyone one of her concerts.

I cannot express how much I have loved Rush, Endless Possibility, and Noah. It’s a beautiful story that I’m still talking about to this day and encouraging everyone to read it. Just thinking about Noah and his love for Charlotte brings a smile to my face. I’m so happy to have found this author, and her amazing story. I look forward to reading her future and past work.

** I was provided an arc by the author who wonderfully gave me a copy after seeing my message on Twitter stating how much I was looking forward to reading more of Noah. How awesome is she?  This made me love her even more**
