Book Review: Dominic by MJ Fields

MJ Fields does not disappoint with Dominic. He is definitely not how I imagined he’d be after reading all the Steel brother’s books, and Abe.  You know he’s sexy as hell, but he’s also sweet, loyal, and Italian. What more could you want?

Not the Steel boys are not those things, but they are quite Alpha and I was a little surprised that Dominic was a little more laid back in that area. Don’t get me wrong. What Dominic wants Dominic gets. I loved that all the boys from the series and their women were in the book.

Maybe Dominic not going quite so Alpha had something to do with his lady, Laney.  When she was ten years old her identical twin sister died and she has been torn up and depressed since then.  Her mother shut down on her when she couldn’t take that she looked exactly like her sister.  Growing up after sister died has left Laney unable to trust or show her feelings.

Dominic and Laney meet at the casino he’s staying at and there is an immediate attraction but you can also tell there is something more between the two of them.  Laney fights it but she can’t hide for long. What they don’t know is that Dominic is the cousin to the Steel brothers and that Laney’s going to stay with Nikki and Abe.  Even when Laney is trying to stay away from Dominic they keep running into each other.

They truly understand the others pain and together they heal the other through their past experiences.  I love how Dominic could see her pain, feel it, and help her through it.

There’s plenty of drama, steamy sex scenes, and swoon worthy moments throughout this book. The drama will continue in the next book Sabato and I can’t wait to read what happens next in all of their lives.  I don’t want to give anything away so you’ll just have to read the book to know what I’m talking about, but it looks exciting or drama filled.
