Hard Limit is the fourth book in the Hacker Series and you must read the previous books before reading Hard Limit. I didn’t reread the series before I started to read this, but it was easy to fall back into Blake and Erica’s story. I love where they were are in their lives and how they continue to evolve and grow, yet you still see some of their old characteristics shine through. I didn’t feel like their relationship or where they are, has been rushed through the series or this book. It feels like their relationship is falling a natural progression. They are more comfortable around each other, less doubts, but they still push each other whether it’s inside the bedroom or boardroom. They continue to push each other to their limits and it has created a strong bond between them. I don’t think there could be a better name for the book than Hard Limit.
Meredith Wild does such a great job writing that you can feel their passion and love for each other with every page you read. She also writes her characters so believably real that you find yourself deeply invested in their story. I don’t want to give anything way if you haven’t read Hard Limit yet but there were many times especially in the end, I was misty eyed and for much of the book I was on pins and needles. I couldn’t get enough of one of my favorite couples and the book sucked me in. Meredith Wild has once again done a great job at creating drama throughout her story, but not dragging out any angst for our couple. There is definitely a roller coaster of emotions in this book, but it will leave you highly satisfied. There are lots of twists and turns, a couple that I wasn’t expecting, and I was even surprised me once by not having something happen that I thought would. I love how even on book four Meredith can still keep us guessing. She has once again wrote an astounding book with everything you can ask for in a book, STEAMY sex scenes, drama, suspense, and heart pounding events.
I can’t wait until Hard Love the final book in the series to come out next year and of course, I’ll be sad that their story is ending. It will be hard to let them go but there’s still plenty in Blake and Erica’s lives to deal with and for their continued growth for the final book. You definitely need to read this book and this series. You will not be disappointed.
